About Lars

 

Lars Vollmer is one of Niels´ frequent collaborators in Germany. Together, the have run both in-company workshops, impulse sessions, and public events. They have authored BetaCodex Network papers together and regularly unite in New York City for joint work weeks. Two of their pet projects have been the development of programs for highly effective corporate development and academic business education.

Lars once started out as a specialist for production logistics and Lean, but has over the last years become a sought-after speaker and a renowned expert on Industrial Leadership. He is known as a thought leader who is as dedicated as he is knowledgeable.

Lars Vollmer lives for implementation. He enthuses executives across all types of organizations. Lars says: »To accumulate knowledge and occasionally change something reactively just isn’t good enough anymore to achieve a leading market position. Companies need the ability to turn knowledge into action, and plans into deeds - fast. That simply can´t be accomplished with pep talks alone: it requires an expanded leadership model.« Lars shows how widely-used management systems end up turning knowledge giants into implementation midgets. And he demonstrates what approach you must take to turn your implementation strength into a strategic weapon against the competition.

Lars advises international organizations in the industrial and service sectors. He is the founder and Managing Partner of Vollmer & Scheffczyk GmbH, an independent consulting and service firm for Lean Management with offices in Hannover and Stuttgart, Germany. As Vollmer & Scheffczyk GmbH grew from a two-person shop run out of a living room into one of the top consulting firms for Lean Management in Europe, Lars learned how the key values of performance, freedom and responsibility impact all employees and organizations, and how implementation strength helps businesses succeed.

Lars is holder of a doctorate in engineering and adjunct professor at several universities and institutes, He is also co-founder of the open-space company “intrinsify.me!”, a movement for self-determined work. Lars lives with his family in Hannover, Germany.
